Amethyst Silver

Five pieces, ₹2,180 to ₹11,499, and the spread across that range is mostly a question of how much hand work is in the metal and how many stones a piece carries. Nadi, at ₹2,180, is amethyst chips on gold-plated silver — small irregular pieces rather than matched, faceted cuts. Nadi means river. Surya, at ₹11,499, is a temple drop earring holding amethyst alongside carnelian and turquoise. The sterling underneath is the same in both.

If you want amethyst for ordinary days rather than an occasion, the two under ₹3,000 are the place to start. Sandhya, ₹2,640, sets two graduated faceted amethysts on each ear — a deep dusk purple, not a bright lilac, so it behaves more like a dark stone than a pastel one. Faceted stones move light differently from chips; that is the real difference between Sandhya and Nadi, more than the ₹460 between them.

Barkha, ₹6,600, is the piece to consider if you want purple against white metal. It is the only one of the five in plain 925 sterling — everything else here is gold-plated — so the stone sits on silver rather than on a warm gold surface. The name means monsoon and the necklace is built around that idea.

The two large earrings are not amethyst on its own. Utsav, ₹9,400, is a chandelier that carries turquoise and moonstone as well; Surya adds carnelian and turquoise. Both are for evenings when you want the ear to do the work. For amethyst alone, go back to Sandhya or Barkha.
