A Silvorious original, handcrafted in India. Surya is built around granulation — hundreds of tiny gold spheres fused one at a time onto the surface, the technique behind South Indian temple jewellery and Etruscan revival goldwork. Four tiers fall from the ear: a faceted amethyst stud, then a granulated heart set with a bright carnelian, then the heart of the piece — a broad sunburst medallion whose matte gold panels radiate from a large oval amethyst — finishing in a small granulated shield holding a turquoise cabochon. Worked in gold-plated 925 sterling silver, the pair weighs 20.30 g. This is heirloom jewellery: slow to make, meant to be kept and handed on.
