A Silvorious original, handcrafted in India. Gulmohar takes its name from the flame tree, whose orange-red blossom opens against deep green leaves — the two colours that make up this pair. A broad carnelian disc, domed and polished smooth, hangs from a bright chrysoprase stud, and at the centre of each disc sits a single coral cabochon in a finely granulated gold bezel. There is no ornament beyond that: three stones, one dot, and a great deal of colour. After the density of our chandelier pieces this one is deliberately spare — it is meant to be worn with a plain neckline and left to do all the talking. Worked in gold-plated 925 sterling silver, the pair weighs 11 g. A genuinely one-of-a-kind piece: only one pair is made and available.
