Each is hammered by hand from sheet, the petals beaten thin and left with the ripples the hammer put into them, so no two catch the light in quite the same way. They fall in graduating size down the ear — smallest at the lobe, widest at the end — and a round turquoise cabochon sits at the heart of every one in a plain gold bezel, the blue reading hard against all that warm hammered gold.
