A Silvorious original, handcrafted in India. Aranya means forest, and malachite is the stone that most looks like one — every cabochon carries its own rings of light and dark green, banded like the cross-section of a tree. Three sit on each ear: a small round at the top, a broad oval held in a frame of hand-set silver beadwork, and a teardrop swinging free beneath it. The silver is oxidised so the recesses darken and the beading stands proud against them. At 7.40 g on slim French hooks the pair moves easily and sits light. Because malachite bands differently in every stone, no two pairs could ever be alike — and only one pair of this one is made and available.
